Hello All,
I want to share with you my experience concerning the next big thing, Piedmontese beef. A while back I had a friend talk to me about the health benefits of  the meat from Piedmontese Cattle. I was curious about these cattle because I was raised on a beef cattle farm and had never heard the first whisper of this breed. After talking with her further she urged me to try a River Mountain Farms Piedmontese burger. To be quite honest, in my head I was thinking a cow is a cow and the meat must taste similar. I also prefer some fat in my meat so I was worried about the label "Lean meat".  So, I tried a burger. Let me say that again, "I TRIED THE BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER EATEN". Yes it tasted different. It was rich in flavor and tender as could be. I was hooked from that very first bite. 

​Now, moving on to the steak. I usually season my steak with various seasonings. But not this time. My friend encouraged me to try the meat unseasoned so I could understand the true value of this steak. This time I had total faith in her because she had been spot on when telling me about the Piedmontese burger. I did as she had asked. I heated the grill, splashed some olive oil on the steak and let the magic happen. As with the burger, the steak melted in my mouth. To be honest, I could have cut it with a fork. The flavor was remarkable. I'm just amazed that a steak can taste this good unseasoned. I have recommended River Mountain Farms Beef to several friends and family to try it whether it be for health benefits versus other cattle breeds or just for the fact that the meat is simply the best. I just hope to see more of a market for the beef in my area.
